Baguio Food trip and trip

My friend Kelly and I met up at Victory Liner Pasay last January 29,2013. The fare from Pasay to Baguio is Php 455.00 plus Php 5.00 for the insurance. To check the schedule go to http://www.victoryliner.com/schedules/ We left at around 3:00 am and arrived at 9:20 am.

Right in front of the terminal you will see a booth. It is a tourist information center so you can ask them where to stay or places to go.

We stayed at Tuvera.. It's near Victory Liner terminal.

Our room cost Php 700.00 for 2 and Php 100.00 deposit for the key.. :)

 There are jeepneys in front of Victory going to the Plaza. The fare ranges from Php 8.00 - 10.00.
I've been to Baguio a couple of times so I'm a little bit familiar with the place. :)

THE BAGUIO TRAFFIC
(Feb.1.2013 is the start of Panagbenga so people are flocking in Baguio)

 We came across this store and we checked what's inside and we saw these Mickey Mouse plates.. weeee... :) I love Mickey!! so we bought some!! :)

 Ice cream in BAGUIO???? why not.. .:) 

   Along upper Mabini you will find lots of food stations, cafes, bakeries and restaurants. We saw this on the side walk and I would say don't buy siomai from them.. it doesn't taste good.. I don't like when people threw their food but this one is an exemption.. The siomai tasted like uncooked flour.. :(

When we got to lower Mabini Street, there was a huge crowd. I am a "chismosa" so I checked it out..
 it turned out to be a siomai stand.. :)  You wont see the tarp sign for the siomai since people are blocking it..

What caught my attention was the variety of sauces. it's so "sosyal".. :) so we tried it out.

I had sweet cucumber and garlic.. it was so good we came back the next day.. :) Now I'm craving for more....

So from the Plaza there are jeepney going to Minesview. Fare is Php10.00

Meet King, a Saint Bernard. He is a year and 9 month old..

We paid Php 50.00 so we can have our photos taken with King.. :) 

There's a rainbow always after the rain... :) 

Strawberry Taho 

Php 20.00. Its a little bit over priced. It's too sweet for me.. The last time I bought strawberry taho it tasted good..

 For dinner, we went to ZOLA cafe..

 Onion soup with crostinni Php 42.00

Too oily.. and tasted like oyster sauce with water

Carrot cream soup Php 45.00

Doesn't taste like carrot.  Look at all those lumps.. 

Caesar salad Php 92.00. It looks good right?? But wait till you dig in your fork...

That was just half of my salad.. I have to scrape the dressing.. Literally it was drenching and it was salty and sour..... I just ate the bacon... :(

Pancake Php 68.00.. The pancake was edible.. We didn't order our main entree and asked for the manager. We talked to Zally... he apologized and asked us if we wanted to replace the food.. we just paid the bill and left.. too hungry to stay.. :)

There are so many restaurants along Session Road so we stopped at Vizco's.

per slice Php 80.00.. The cake was very light.. Not too sweet... yum!!! :) 

Fried chicken, onion rings and Half and Half pasta Php 165.00 

After the not so good food experience at Zola at least we came across Vizco's and was able to eat good food... :) Definitely will be back!!!

When you hear the word Baguio, aside from it being the Summer capital of the Philippines, it is also know for its UKAY- UKAY or wagwagan (flea market).. Since it is Panagbenga time they closed the street and they say that its going to be a month-long activity.. :) They sell shoes, bags, hats, jackets, clothes, home decor, and the list goes on.... 

At the end of the road...... there's foood!!! :) 

So that was how we ended our day.. :)

Went back to Tuvera.. and slept.. :)
